Originally from Toronto, Canada, Palmer moved to Carnoustie, Scotland when he was 13, which is where his golf journey began, playing competitive golf at Carnoustie Golf Links. After high school Palmer attended Dundee College (now Abertay University) where he earned a degree in sports coaching as well as an honours degree in sports and exercise science. Palmer then embarked on his 3-year PGA training while working as the assistant professional at Stirling Golf Club. Once he became a fully qualified PGA professional Palmer moved to Dubai to work at the Performance Academy at Trump International Golf Club. In 2017 palmer was offered a role as Lead Teaching Professional at the Trump Turnberry Golf Academy where he has been teaching for the last 4 years. Palmer has started his own coaching business as a freelance instructor, aiming to deliver exceptional coaching services for the members at Muckhart Golf Club and making sure he is always on hand to offer help and advice out-with a lesson booking.
